Ingredients

• 1 lb. powdered rice
• 5 oz. ground caraway
• 2 1/5 lbs. sugar
• 1 1/2 oz. fennel, ground
• 1 oz. ground anis
• 1 oz. ground cinnamon (optional)
• 8 pts. 15 oz. water
• Large quantity of nuts-almonds, pine nuts, walnuts, pistachio all ready for garnishing.
Preparation

• Put water to boil in a large pot. Dissolve powdered rice in some cold water and add it to the boiling water, stirring all the while.
• Add all the spices and continue to stir.
• Add sugar and keep stirring. This should cook over high heat till it is done.
• Pour into individual dessert plates or custard cups and let cool.
• Cover top with blanched nuts.
Additional Notes
Its a good idea to have multiple pans going at one time to make the cook ... otherwise the 2 hours could turn into a half a day. :)
